LIFESTRETCH AND FASCIAL STRETCH THERAPY
LifeStretch is a functional mobility, fascial stretch group therapy 60-minute class that is conducted in a non-heated room. LifeStretch is designed to help clients become more flexible in body, mind, and spirit so that they feel not only more functionally mobile but also more capable to deal with the physical and mental demands of their lives. As opposed to targeting isolated, single muscles, LifeStretch progresses through entire chains of neuro-myofascia. It recognizes that the brain learns movement patterns in multiple planes not with uni- planar isolated muscle contractions.
Fascial Stretch Therapy (FST) is a manual/assisted stretching that targets not only the muscles, but the fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds muscles, bones, and joints. It is done in one-on-one sessions on a massage table. FST also targets the entire joint and joint capsule, using traction to remove restrictions from movement and to stimulate lubrication. Benefits of FST include increased range of motion, muscular balance and symmetry, improved physical performance, reduced pain and risk of injury and improved posture, muscular function and circulation.
