Meet Scarlett, DRIP’T Instructor
Why Do You Teach?
Fundamentally, to improve the quality of life for people. The studio members are so diverse - we have parents, caregivers, students, federal workers, overnight workers, healthcare workers, etc. etc. etc.! I want to make sure everyone has movement freedom and functionality so that they can fulfill their life's work.
What Is Your Take on Heart Health and How Exercise Impacts Heart Health?
The research is pretty clear that exercise helps to improve multiple cardiovascular disease risk factors. Exercise is a prescription for all, but it's something you have to do regularly, and it cannot be bottled up and given out at a pharmacy! Fortunately, there are so many options for people to choose from, especially at BYW.
Some health risk factors may be out of our control, but exercise is a controllable factor that stacks the odds in our favor. Why not take control of your health?
What Can Students Expect in Your Class?
Expect to never be stagnant and always expect that you will be challenged by thoughtful programming. And while I progress my students over time, every move and exercise can be modified or broken down so there is always an option for everyone. Just show up!
