Bikram Yoga Works offers certifications in the Bikram Series 26&2, DRIP’T & FLEX’T. You will be trained by expert, knowledgeable staff in anatomy and physiology, yoga philosophy, technique, and more! Your training will be followed by intense mentoring, and several opportunities to teach.

26&2 CERTIFICATION

26&2 Bikram Training will teach you about this amazing form of hatha yoga that is known as a prescription. The class is 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. Participants will learn the Bikram dialogue and be able to deliver a safe and effective class. Students will receive a 26 &2 certification as well as amazing skills to incorporate into their own teaching practice. 26 and 2 yoga teacher training is held virtually or at BYW headquarters in Riverdale, Maryland.

Participants in the training will have the opportunity to audition to teach at any of the Bikram Yoga Works-owned and managed locations through the DMV.

We will continue to enroll students on a rolling basis. The certification comes with a 200-hour yoga alliance certification. The training is a combination of in-class time, lecture, and posture clinic.

DRIP’T & FLEX’T CERTIFICATION

DRIP’T

DRIP’T is dynamic resistance interval-based performance training. It is our most popular HIIT class. We will debut two additional versions of this class this year: DRIP’T Body (body weight only class) and DRIP’T Heavy (for those who are interested in heavier lifting). DRIP’T is a dynamic class format that uses resistance to increase strength and improve tone.

FLEX’T

FLEX’T is our stretching and mobility class. Did you think stretching was only for older people? We are here to tell you it’s not! Lots of people prefer exercising and not stretching, but what if we told you the definition of exercise IS stretching?

This 60-minute class is meant to help you understand how you can stretch for strength. Beautiful muscles are made from stretching. Join us to understand how our connective tissues work in forming our bodies, and how we can make beautiful bodies with this modality.

The class corresponds well with our Fascial stretch therapy services. Level 1 will focus on teaching a group-based stretch and mobility class. Level 2 will introduce partner stretching.
